So how does it work?
Usually, when you make a To-Do List, you write down all the tasks you need to get done. You add dates, or you leave them in a long list. It might look nice, but it's stressful having all those tasks to do.
The Strongweek Method organizes tasks by due-time-period instead. You start with what you need to do Today. Try to limit it to a few manageable tasks. Then add a space, or a page, for tasks due Tomorrow. (If you prefer, you can also skip these steps.)
Where Strongweek comes in handiest, though, are the next pages. What do you have to get done This Week? What can you push to Next Week? Is there anything you need to get done, but not right away... more like — sometime this month?
Make a page for each of those categories:
At Strongweek, we add a category for Next Month's tasks as well. Anything after that goes in on a page for This Year, Next Year, or our favorite category: Someday.
To recap, you should have the following pages:
Today, Tomorrow, This Week, Next Week, This Month, Next Month, This Year, Next Year, and Someday
You can also skip any of these pages you want, and create some of your own - like Next Quarter or Next 6 Months.
Why does it work?
You probably don't know exactly when each of your tasks is due. And, it's hard to rank every task on your to-do list in order of priority. But when you think of your TO-DOs as a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly planner, your priorities will organize themselves naturally!
